CIREX

The SSSCIP, supported by the USAID Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine Activity, held the first Critical Infrastructure Resilience Exercises (CIREX), designed based on the guidelines by the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

The CIREX key objective was to address the issues related to cyber threat response and coordinate the efforts in countering cyberattacks. The energy sector representatives who took part in the training spent the day elaborating mechanisms of response to ransomware-type cyberattacks (extorting malware as per the current cyber incident taxonomy).
